Initially screening questionnaires will be used to help determine whether a full assessment is appropriate. These tools explore the presence and impact of ADHD symptoms in your daily life. You will be asked for a Collateral history questionaire to be completed by someone who knows you well, ideally a parent or older relative.
We meet for a diagnostic appointment which takes place online. During this session, we gather additional information about your background and complete a semi-structured diagnostic interview that is standardised and clinically validated for assessing ADHD in adults.
We carefully compare your profile against the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for ADHD, while also considering whether your experiences may be better explained by other conditions or life factors. ADHD shares overlapping features with a range of other challenges (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, autism), so this differential process is key to ensuring that any diagnosis made is accurate and meaningful.

Lucy first began working in the area of neurodiversity over 20 years ago, initially in a school specialising in supporting neurodivergent children. She now specialises in adult ADHD assessments, with a particular awareness of late-identified ADHD and high-masking presentations.
Her approach is neuroaffirmative, compassionate, and grounded in over two decades of clinical experience. She has been in private practice for over 16 years.
