2

Pre-Assessment Forms

Screening questionnaires are emailed to you and need to be completed prior to your assessment appointment.

3

Comprehensive Assessment

An in-depth assessment lasting approximately 2 hours, including a standardised diagnostic interview.

4

Report & Recommendations

A comprehensive written report with diagnostic conclusions and tailored advice to help you move forward.

What to Expect

Pre-Assessment Screening

Initially screening questionnaires will be used to help determine whether a full assessment is appropriate. These tools explore the presence and impact of ADHD symptoms in your daily life. You will be asked for a Collateral history questionaire to be completed by someone who knows you well, ideally a parent or older relative.

Diagnostic Interview

We meet for a diagnostic appointment which takes place online. During this session, we gather additional information about your background and complete a semi-structured diagnostic interview that is standardised and clinically validated for assessing ADHD in adults.

  • If more time is needed, we can arrange a follow-up session.
  • If maintaining focus for a long session is difficult, we can break the assessment into shorter appointments.

Diagnostic Criteria & Differential Diagnosis

We carefully compare your profile against the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for ADHD, while also considering whether your experiences may be better explained by other conditions or life factors. ADHD shares overlapping features with a range of other challenges (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, autism), so this differential process is key to ensuring that any diagnosis made is accurate and meaningful.

Feedback & Report

Once your assessment is complete, we will discuss the outcome and result together. This is a space for us to:

  • Talk through the outcome and explain the reasoning behind our conclusions.
  • Explore your strengths and areas of need.
  • Discuss a range of recommendations and strategies, whether or not a diagnosis is given.
  • Explore whether specific ADHD medication may be an appropriate treatment option to support the management of ADHD symptoms.

You'll receive a comprehensive written report outlining our findings, diagnostic conclusions, and tailored advice to help you move forward.
